Formed in 1964, the New Zealand Army Band has earned international acclaim for its dynamic performances, versatility and technical brilliance. A regular fixture in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo amongst other global festivals, the band continues to entertain audiences worldwide. 

In their forthcoming ‘Brass in Concert’ series, their full-force brass band will bring together the energy of traditional brass music-making, orchestral arrangements, musical theatre numbers and soulful jazz tunes. Featuring works by the likes of Camille Saint-Saëns, Malcolm Arnold, Ray Charles, Noël Coward and George Willcocks, this family-friendly event promises something for everyone. 

The New Zealand Army Band’s world-class soloists and vocalists will take centre stage, including Principal Cornet LCPL Kyle Lawson (formerly Principal Cornet of the UK’s Brighouse and Rastrick Band), as well as Principal Vocalist PTE Shannelee Palenski and Principal Euphonium PTE Cameron James.
